Punter | Place Kicker | Quarterback
6-3, 175 Flint River Academy
Chas Short kicks off The Paladin Walks first player focus. My plan is to focus on a player a week leading up to the first game against Presbyterian. What makes Chas so interesting. Well it’s his foot. Chas could be the one true freshman to see major PT this season. Chas is a big-footed kicker that consistently kicked the ball out of the end zone in high school. He also has recorded punts of 61 and 58 yards in the same game. Short also continues the recent trend of mobile quarterback-punters. During the home stretch of recruiting. Short’s name was being batted around blogs and message boards by Georgia fans as an alternative to Drew Butler. Short won the longest kick competition at UGA’s summer camp.
Some facts courtesy of Hunter Reid’s release on the Paladins 2007 recruiting class:

GISA first team All-State honors as a placekicker
